Since the age of 12, golf was my life

From sunrise to sunset, it was practice, lessons, tournaments and more practice. My junior golf career was soaring, college letters came flying, and my eyes were set on the LPGA. Little did I know, my body had already set another plan for me.

The back pain I had endured as a young golfer was personally debilitating, and the joy in life and golf started to fade. At times, I couldn’t sit, stand, sleep or walk. Even minor things like breathing or laughing caused pain. As a young girl who didn’t know much else, all I could do was trust what my doctor, chiropractor, and trainer told me was going on - a simple muscle strain. My gut told me it was something more.

Despite the pain, life and golf had to carry on. Through all those junior tournaments - TJGT, TLJT, AJGA and USGA - all I wanted was some certainty that there wouldn’t be another flare up in the upcoming tournament week. No player of the year award or AJGA tournament win truly felt like a win because my body was losing everyday. Collegiate golf was all about survival and maintenance. What helped fuel the fight to stay in the game were my coaches and teammates - knowing the fight is for something more than yourself. And at the end of the day, we can proudly say that the HBU Women’s golf team were back to back 17’ 18’ Southland Conference Champions. However, college took the last and heavy toll on what will power was left of my back.

Unfortunately, it wasn’t until over a decade later did my pain-filled question get answered — 3 bulging discs from my L4-L5-S1.

As difficult as it was, I consider my back injury a blessing in disguise. I made it my mission to seek, learn, study, and work with others to find out the "why" and "how" in the body, so that I could develop a sound method to heal myself and ensure others don't go through the same as I did. What once limited me was now a source of my strength, and thus PNR was born.

I get it - we all want to hit it further down the fairway, gain more club speed, get bigger and stronger and keep pushing the limits. I want to help you get there in the most efficient and safe way.

I don’t want someone else to be stripped of that joy because of a physical (or even mental) limitation. My training is a culmination of components of therapy, corrective exercise, strength and conditioning, and movement training to optimize body healing and performance.

There’s nothing more empowering for me than working with another person to not only help lead them to their ultimate goal, but to also implement positive changes in their mental, physical and emotional health for a quality filled life. This is what PNR is all about.

Once the healing and recovery process began, I felt the joy of playing again.

NOW, I’M HERE TO HELP YOU WITH YOUR STORY

It starts with an open mind and a choice. My goal when I work with you is to reduce the risk of injury, decrease pain and increase longevity through intentional movement training. Just as I have gone from a golfer with chronic pain to one with endless potential, I want to do the same for you.
